The other half of urban art: Women and art in the public space

“The other half of urban art” is an exhibition promoted by the Delegation of the Government of Catalonia to the European Union and coordinated by Rebobinart that talks about urban art from the perspective of women and can be visited between 5 July and November 2023 in the Espai Catalunya Europa located in the same Delegation in Brussels.
In this exhibition context, the relationship between femininity/gender/women and art is explored, marked by a lack of gender equality that accumulates devastating data that speak for themselves.
9 artists share their own universes with visitors through their conceptions and experiences within the sector, photographies and original works. Minuskula, Marina Capdevila, Irene López León, Amaia Arrazola, Mina Hamada,Kitsune Jolene, Céleste Gangolphe, Florianne Mandin and Amandine Lesay are the artists involved in this cultural exchange between Belgium and Catalonia.
